COMMUNITY WATER PARK & POOL This facility is a combined wading and recreational pool with a zero depth entry. It has a stainless steel gutter recirculation system and utilizes high rate sand filters and an erosion type chlorine disinfection system. The bather load is 682 for the complex. It has a 109 foot water slide and an interactive SCS-110 slide/fountain feature in the wading area. Separate floor foundations were incorporated into the floor at the zero depth entry. An on-deck lounge area was also incorporated for relaxing and concession food consumption. The bath house was also planned and programmed by Lightowler Johnson Associates and was designed and constructed as part of the school expansion. |

RIVER FRONT PARKS MASTER PLAN Lightowler Johnson Associates while partnered with another firm completed a study to complete a Master Plan for the River Front Parks that would provide a drawing point for residents and visitors. The Master Plan was completed taking into account the dam the ARMY Corps of Engineers had designed, but that was not yet constructed. Both firms worked closely with the Cities and community to determine the most advantageous options. Materials and plans needed to sustain flooding and be low maintenance and low cost to meet budget constraints and the Cities’ goals.
