Carousel Building, Red River Zoo, Fargo, ND- Lightowler Johnson Associates was selected to provide complete architectural and engineering services to design a new building to house a restored carousel that was donated to the Red River Zoological Society.

The facility accommodates the carousel, a party room, restrooms, an entry vestibule and vending area.

Fosston Fire and Resuce Hall, Fosston, MN—This project involved the design and construction of a new fire hall with storage of ten fire and rescue vehicles, dispatch/control center, chiefs office, conference and training room, kitchen, toilet/shower rooms, equipment maintenance room, and utilities room. The building construction is precast "double-T" bearing wall and roof structure with poured concrete slab floor. Heating is gas forced air with condensor cooling.

Cass County Transfer Station, Walker, MN— This facility was proposed to help alleviate congestion within the current solid waste storage facility. Working with the Cass County Commission under a very tight budget, LJA prepared two design concepts to be bid by the County. One proposed facility was to be a pre-engineered facility and the other was to be pre-cast concrete. The pre-cast concrete solution was approved for construction, due to the required longevity of the facility.

Some issues addressed were site development, traffic flow at the building exterior, traffic flow on the building interior, building construction type and budget.

Multi-Purpose Building, Clinton, MN—Project involved the design and construction of a new multi-purpose municipal building to house City Offices, City Maintenance Shop and City Firehall. The building is a one-story, pre-engineered steel building with pre-finished steel siding and roof system. Heating is provided by under slab electric cables

Bridgeview Pointe Subdivision, Moorhead, MN—

Lightowler Johnson Associates designed utility improvements for Bridgeview Pointe Subdivision in Moorhead, Minnesota. This project involves the construction of watermain, gravity sanitary sewer, forcemain sanitary sewer, and water and sewer services. Also included in the project was the construction of storm sewer and a water detention pond.

This project also consisted of bituminous paving, curb and gutter and landscaping improvements for Bridgeview Pointe Subdivision. This project involves the construction of a sanitary sewer submersible lift station (duplex), a valve manhole, plumbing and electrical.

Reiles Acres 6th Addition, Reiles Acres, ND—

Lightowler Johnson Associates’ performed design and construction administration on a new addition to the town of Reiles Acres.

This project included streets, curbs and gutters, and utility infrastructure. A sanitary sewer systems was included in this project along with a lift station.

An innovative, large-scale storm water detention system including a lift station was also designed as part of this project. This was a large system utilizing ordinary storm water gravity flows and multiple tier outlet structures.
