Marina Condominiums, Detroit Lakes, MN- Lightowler Johnson Associates worked closely with the developer to provide all architectural, mechanical, electrical, survey and civil engineering services for a 15-plex condominium building.

36-Plex Apartment Housing, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Moorhead, MN—Lightowler Johnson Associates teamed with Roers’ Construction and Development Inc. to offer the design/build delivery system for this three-story masonry structure on the campus of MSUM. The building consists of 12 apartment units per floor along with lobby/office area on the 1^st Floor and conference room/storage area on the 2^nd and 3^rd Floors.

There are two dedicated accessible units and all other units are adaptable to meet the requirements for accessibility. Six units are equipped for hearing and/or visually impaired.

Each unit consists of two bedrooms and two baths to accommodate four students. The units have a common living/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is provided with a refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave oven. This building will help fill the need for comfortable student housing for many years to come. It provides convenient apartment living since apartments are typically found off campus.

West Lake Condominiums, Detroit Lakes, MN— Working with the owners LJA developed a previously unoccupied site that was thought to be uninhabitable. Waste material was removed and the grade was raised. The floor plans were developed to create a middle to upper income development. This project was a phased 6-unit project that allowed the developer to build as few or as many buildings as they desired.

Caldwell Hall, SDSU Residence Hall Facility, Brookings, SD—Lightowler Johnson Associates Inc. provided full-service architecture, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering for this 3-story story residence hall design/build project. The project was completed in conjunction with a contractor local to the Brookings area. It was the first design/build project at the University.

The facility included 75 suite-style residences, laundry area, recreation areas, offices, student lounge and reception area.
